Enhancing Urban Heating Systems Planning through Spatially Explicit Participatory Modeling

چکیده
Effective planning of urban heating systems is crucial for achieving net-zero emissions at the city level. In particular, spatial dimension plays a pivotal role in shaping design and operation these systems. Nonetheless, integration energy rarely performed. To address this deficit, current study proposes participatory modeling methodology that explicitly incorporates to facilitate decision-making The applied case municipality evaluate its benefits implications stakeholders involved heat planning. results reveal nature enhances legitimacy, transparency, relevance process by engaging stakeholders, so as exploit their valuable knowledge, experience, understanding local context related challenges. developed provides representation district expansion, technology transition district-building level, installed capacities each district, thereby improving coherence integrated with other plans. Consequently, incorporation adds nuanced layer outcomes standard level optimization models.

Participatory Planning Through Negotiated Coordination
This contribution to Science & Society's special issue on socialist economic organisation brings together the basic model proposed in Devine (1988) and subsequent work developing and elaborating that model (Adaman and Devine 1994, 1996, 1997, mimeo; Devine 1992, 1997, forthcoming). It is part of a project which is designed to assist in the revival of the movement for socialism by developing a w...
متن کاملInvestigating Geosparql Requirements for Participatory Urban Planning
We propose that participatory GIS (PGIS) activities including participatory urban planning can be made more efficient and effective if spatial reasoning rules are integrated with PGIS tools to simplify engagement for public contributors. Spatial reasoning is used to describe relationships between spatial entities. These relationships can be evaluated quantitatively or qualitatively using geomet...
متن کاملSpatially-explicit Modeling of Siberian Boreal Forests
Circumpolar boreal forests contain one half of the terrestrial carbon stores, and have been shown to be susceptible to climate change. As climate regimes shift, the total biomass and species composition may change in ways that may promote further warming on the regional level through atmosphere-vegetation feedbacks. The purpose of this project is to develop a spatially explicit model for simula...
متن کاملSpatially-Explicit Simulation of Urban Growth through Self-Adaptive Genetic Algorithm and Cellular Automata Modelling
This paper presents a method to optimise the calibration of parameters and land use transition rules of a cellular automata (CA) urban growth model using a self-adaptive genetic algorithm (SAGA). Optimal calibration is achieved through an algorithm that minimises the difference between the simulated and observed urban growth. The model was applied to simulate land use change from non-urban to u...
